...proclaim the year of the LORD's favor

Every now and then I invite people to come visit this site to see what our ministry is all about.
Actually, I should probably say was all about. Since at this time there is no ministry.
Isaiah 61 was the chapter that was read over us when we became a part of Open Bible Standard Churches. It was not the first time, or the last time that that particular section of Scripture seemed to define what we were supposed to do in ministry. 18 years ago a word of prophesy was spoken over us concerning the refiner's fire we were going through at the time, and assuring us that (joy of joys) it wouldn't be the last time. It wasn't.
Well, we haven't given up yet. We claim the promise of Philippians 1:6 -7. He who began this good word will be faithful to complete it. And if anyone out there is interested in what has been and what we hope to be Gateway of the Rock, here are some suggested readings:

Pastor and Maryellen,

I continue to be touched by your openness about what is going on in your lives and what God is doing through you. I do not know what the future holds for you, but I know who holds the future. We serve a great God. I have been praying for you because of the trqagedies that have occurred in your community lately. But, I have not been praying for your ministry there. That is, until now...
